Staff Development & Consultation Services
SPED Resource offers a variety of services to support classrooms. Elizabeth Moreland-Mason, M.Ed, has provided staff development, training and classroom support for teachers across Texas for over 20 years. Her expertise in the area of autism and cognitive disability, as well as her experience as a Program Specialist and Instructional Officer allow her to provide teacher friendly, effective and legally sound support and training.

Small and large group training can be individualized to address your unique needs. Topics for staff development include:

instructional strategies for students with significant cognitive disabilities and autism

positive behavior supports and intervention using Visual Support strategies

PLAAFP and goal writing for students on an alternate curriculum

Classroom consultations provide ongoing support for teachers as they implement the elements of Visual Support in their classrooms. A day of consultation can focus on one classroom or several. Consultation to assist with ARD/IEP preparation for challenging situations is available as well.
