ABOUT US
Our passion is supporting students with significant cognitive disabilities, their families and their teachers. We understand the questions, the concerns, the challenges faced daily by all those who provide care for children and adults with significant cognitive disabilities and autism.
SPED Resource founder, Elizabeth (Liz) Moreland-Mason, M.Ed., has spent more than 35 years in education, from home based programs to private school settings for children with autism to both general and special education classrooms within public school. In addition to classroom teaching, she served as a program specialist for LIFE Skills programs and an Instructional Officer supporting LIFE Skills, Resource and In-Class-Support for Katy ISD, one of the fastest growing school districts in the Houston area. She was the recipient of the Texas A&M Dean’s Roundtable for Transformational Leaders honor in 2017. Liz now serves as a consultant for schools, parents and educational resource centers, providing training and support focused on programming that allows students to be as independent as possible while maximizing their potential for learning and future success.
